About Barolo Wine Tours
Barolo is the ‘king of wines’ — Piedmont’s powerful, age-worthy Nebbiolo red, grown in a cluster of hilltop villages in the Langhe. A Barolo wine tour takes you into the cellars of these UNESCO-listed hills for structured tastings, often paired with local cheese, truffle, and a Piedmontese lunch.
These are smaller, more serious tastings than Tuscany’s day-trips — the Langhe is wine country first, and the focus is the glass. Many tours run as small groups or private trips from Milan or Alba; private Barolo tours are a popular upgrade for serious drinkers.

What Travelers Say
"Stefano was out tour guide. He gave us a thorough historical overview of the Milan area connecting it to the truffle and wine experiences."
"We enjoyed the day trip to Alba and the visit to Borolo Wine country. Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He provided great recommendations for us in Alba and had many recommendations for Milan after the tour. We were on time throughout the day and had a lovely tasting at the winery. This was an enjoyable tour."
"Stefano was an amazing guide. A lot of local information and context to the tour. For me, the best part was seeing that we stopped in very local locations not necessarily frequented by tourists to deliver an authentic experience. I also appreciated the spacing of the locations on this tour; the long drive on either end of the tour, but all the stops close together in the middle. I would definitely recommend."
"Our trip was so much fun, made even better by our guide Stefano with many interesting facts he shared on way to Alba making trip go by so fast. He also shared some of his favorite restaurants where we had a great meal. the wine tasting was a nice time to learn from the Vineyard owner all the differences. The final stop at the castle was a nice time to go up to restaurant for a drink or coffee before journey back to Milan. The tour was well worth the time spent and a great value as well. A big thank you also to our driver Alberto !"
