About Tuscany Olive Oil Tastings
Tuscan olive oil is famously peppery and grassy — the kantharos of a good Chianti EVOO catches at the back of the throat the way a young Sangiovese does. The best Tuscan olive-oil tastings run as a Chianti trail from Florence: a vineyard-and-grove estate, a guided tasting of oil and wine side by side, and a long farm lunch among the cypresses.
What sets Tuscany apart is the pairing: “olive oil tour” and “olive oil tasting” here almost always mean wine and oil together, with food. It’s a scenic country day out of Florence as much as a tasting — the most popular way to understand why Tuscany guards its oil as closely as its wine.

What Travelers Say
"It was an amazing day! We visited 3 wineries and at one saw the entire olive oil production -was so fascinating! Although wine was the main feature of the tour, seeing the olive oil being made was a massive highlight. In the middle of the tour, we briefly stopped at a small town speckled with terracotta cats and had just enough time for a coffee. Imo, the value matches. 10+ small glasses of wine, transit, and lunch. A lovely surprise was the community aspect. It was two groups of 8 and we were easily able to chat and laugh with one another. We felt slightly rushed at the 2nd winery but also the passionate owner was really engaging. The Tuscan views also, 10/10. I would suggest bringing along a croissant or snack to help soak up all the alcohol. Both my mom and I had a bit of tummy troubles a few hours after the tour -nothing crazy. I'd suggest drinking less but the wine was really really good. Overall, was a great day and a highlight of my Italy trip."
"The trip overall is great and I will recommend to friends. The guides were both knowledgeable and friendly. The wines selected by the wineries were premium! The one small disappointment was the lunch provided. My wife and I felt the quality of the meal did not match the quality of the wines and the overall experience. Perhaps an area that can be improved."
"The time spent at each location was just right. The guides were great and loved going to local wineries."
"We had a great time, three beautiful wineries, comfortable transportation and knowledgeable guides. We learned a lot about olive oil and wine making, the region and the history of the wineries. Not too far from Florence and pick up/drop off location is perfect. Would do it again!"
