Cooking Class · Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre’s five cliffside villages have little in the way of formal cooking schools — the local food experience here is built around the famous terraced vineyards and Ligurian seafood. In Riomaggiore you can tour a working wine cellar and taste the dry whites and Sciacchetrà dessert wine grown on the cliffs above the sea.
Pair it with the region’s specialities — trofie with pesto, anchovies, and focaccia — and it’s the closest thing to a hands-on culinary morning in the Cinque Terre. Most visitors arrive on a day trip from Florence or La Spezia, so book ahead in season.

"Very informative and we got to see how grape production occurs now and the past. Tasting was great and provided detail on all wines tasted. Perhaps more indications that people with mobility issues might have problems with this activity (I.e., provide a level of difficulty)"
"This was our absolute favourite thing we did in Riomaggiore. Our guide was fantastic and so giving of her experience and time. Seeing the vineyard and it's stunning surrounds was incredible. Highly, highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it! We would do it again in a heartbeat."

"Very interesting tour with a lot of history about the region and great wines for tasting."
"Exceptional! Laura was an expert guide in the vineyard and for the tasting in the vineyard's cellar. A very knowledgeable guide to Cinque Terre wines in general and to Possa wines in particular. Highly recommended."
