"We had a lot of fun learning how to make pistachio ravioli from Angela and meeting other class participants. There were 7 of us total - 3 couples and one solo - and we sat around a table in kitchen while preparing the food. While the dough rested, we had pear and cheese bruschetta that Angela made for us. The pasta was some of the best we had our entire Sicily trip! The activity ran a bit long - about 4 hours total, so budget for that."

About Catania Cooking Classs
Catania, eastern Sicily’s gritty baroque port under Mount Etna, has a small but authentic cooking-class scene. Classes here run in private homes rather than commercial kitchens — you cook Sicilian pasta and the region’s famous pistachio ravioli (the pistachios come from nearby Bronte) alongside a local host.
It’s a more intimate experience than the bigger Sicilian cities, and the cuisine leans on Etna’s volcanic produce: pistachios, almonds, citrus, and seafood from the Ionian. Expect wine with the meal and a relaxed, home-kitchen pace.

What Travelers Say
"We loved this so much, it was our favourite thing we did in Catania! Angela was hilarious and a fabulous host, we had the best time."

"Angela was an amazing host and an even better cook/teacher. She explained everything soo well, and ensured that we all got a chance to cook and help out with the dinner. She allowed us to have time to chat, have fun and create magic in the kitchen. Would highly recommend Angela and the lesson to anyone. One of our favourite activities in Catania"

"Angela was wonderful! With humor, charm and attention to detail—critical for cooking and teaching—we had a spectacular experience. Oh, and the ravioli we created from scratch was delicious! My partner Roberta and I recommend this experience to all!"

"Picture this. A run down building in an urban neighborhood. You ring the bell, walk up a flight of stairs and enter a gorgeous apartment with the most awesome hostess ever! Probably one of the best meals I have had in Italy. Angela was smart and funny and an amazing instructor! And she was a L’Oréal model back in the day too! We loved every minute we spent with her."
